Yes, we survived Y2K...

Yes, we survived Y2K...

Many of today's "seasoned" professionals will remember the wide-spread uncertainty - panic, even - at the mention of "Y2K" in 2000. Leading up to the turn of the century, I worked for a global IT services company, and preparing for a potential shutdown of all things tech and beyond was a big deal.

For those of us who survived Y2K, we know that midnight 01/01/00 at 00:00 turned out to be pretty benign. Dick Clark rang in the new year, same as always, and a technological crisis was averted.

But 2000 turned out to be a significant year in the life of our firm. After more than 25 years in public relations, I decided to break out on my own and start a consultancy.

Since then, Lewis Public Relations has evolved into a full-service strategic communications agency. Our roots remain in technology, but we also serve the energy, transportation, engineering, agriculture and business-to-business sectors. I'm especially proud of a team that has a combined 60+ years of experience in delivering award-winning, effective public relations programming.

In an industry where solo practitioners come and go, the legacy and success of Lewis Public Relations makes me incredibly grateful. It's an honor to work with the highest caliber of clients, colleagues and brands, while maintaining the values of integrity, hard-work and meaningful results that I established from day one.

While you're here, we hope you'll take a look at our award-winning work and get to know the Lewis Public Relations brand. And, if we can talk with you about how you and your brand can be understood, contact me anytime.

All best,

Blake Lewis
